A local owned and operated family business, Reston Transmission was established in 1991 then moved its base of operations to Herndon in 2000 to become Herndon Reston Transmission.
Since August of 1991 we have been rebuilding, repairing, and replacing transmissions. We have the expertise in powertrain that the other guys don’t! When it comes to auto repair in Northern Virginia, we do things differently than the competition. Customer trust and loyalty is our mission. We are not sales driven; we are customer service centered. The Team
Owners: Randy, Trishia and Ted Hartman.
Technicians: Justin Walker, Marvin Cruze and Jake Hartman.
Randy Hartman started his automotive career in 1978 at a local Herndon gas station and worked at several shops in the area managing shop operations. Randy became a ASE Certified Master technician in 1983 and earned his Advanced L1 certification in 2000.
Ted Hartman started his career in 1985 working at several shops in the area in all aspects of Automotive repair, specializing in transmission and powertrain. Ted earned his ASE certifications in 1995. Ted has become a master transmission rebuilder and excellent diagnostician.
